Along the Via Francigena – Our adventure in the land of Butteri crossing the Francigena, between the Etruscan necropolis of Castel d’Asso, the historical center of Viterbo, and the enchanted landscape of Maremma. We cross the paths that the bishop Sigerico in the tenth century walked from Canterbury to Rome, the origins of Via Francigena. Formerly called Via Romea is part of a bundle of routes, also called Romee streets, that lead to three major Christian sites of the medieval Santiago de Compostela, Rome, and Jerusalem. The following day we visit the medieval center famous for its Gothic district and also for the Romanesque cathedral of the twelfth, the residence of the Orsini, the Farnese Palace, and the Duomo. In the afternoon we go to Ferento, with interesting vestiges of Etruscan, Roman and medieval, and a beautiful Roman theater. Later we join the relaxation in the natural spa; this place was appreciated by many since ancient times, the Etruscans and the Romans were aware of the benefits of Bullicame after times the Popes loved natural terms, including Pope Boniface VIII and Niccolo ‘V, so in 1450 he had built a residence, enlarged by his successors in the centuries to come, to appreciate the therapeutic properties of these warm waters.

Regional Natural Park of Monti Lucretili Weekend at the Orvinio’s Castle
Weekend at the Orvinio’s Castle – We chose to live with you a unique experience: a weekend of horseback riding with base in the ancient Manor of the eleventh century. The castle is installed in a small village in the southwest, which coincides with the Regional Natural Park of Monti Lucretili, and northeast by the Apennine area of Lake Turano. On our weekend, we will move on the magnificent horse trails that the area shows and live the charm of living in a castle. Our proposal provides different rates depending on riders who decide to get involved with horse ownership or lead the horses in our stables and will provide the opportunity to participate with escorts.
Lake Turano. Meeting in Orvinio with horses at 09.00 am sag and departure in the direction of the lake. Arrive at its destination at 13.00, packed lunch, and an hour of relaxation before returning to the castle, which will take place through a scenic route of great interest. Check the base estimated at around 17.30/18.00, accommodation of the horses in the stables and to follow back to the estate for the allocation of rooms, relaxation up to 20.30 for dinner, followed by meeting at the library for the delivery of certificates of participation and an evening in the company.
