Horse Riding in Umbria  | Between Papacy and the Risorgimento – A great classic travel in southern Lazio between archeology and legend, the route starts from Carpineto Romano areas along with the important historical and religious value. We will cross the landscapes cited by Cicero and Lucrezio and the fortifications of Gothic and Renaissance art. Journey through Lepinis towards Palestrina, Marcellina, Palombara Sabina, Ponzano Romano, Otricoli, and Amelia with its magnificence as the remains of the baths, cisterns, the thesaurus, and the new museum, the palace Boccarini, and the bronze statue of the Roman commander. You will be welcomed by the local flavors of the cuisine Ciociara, the specialty of the butchery, wild boar sausages, prosciutto di Norcia, Caciotta cheese, truffles, and wine. Known since the Middle Ages, Todi had an essential role in the Restoration when in July 1849, the city hosted Giuseppe Garibaldi for three days; Here, his wife Anita abandoned her Argentinean saddler, now kept in the municipal museum, to be replaced by another more convenient given to her by a saddler craftsman.
