Only on the last Sunday of every month the Vatican Museums are exceptionally open. A 2/3 hours tour can be done at the agreed time and meeting place but not later than 11.00 a.m. (Privileged entrance is unavailable on this day).

Wednesdays are Papal Audience days. This time St. Peter’s Square gets busy and the Basilica remains closed until about 1pm. So the tour is 1:30pm that day, but still tourists get skip-the-line entry for the Museums, Sistine Chapel and the Basilica after.
