Tour in Nemi | The Strawberries and the Nemi’s Lake | Horseback, Archeological Guided Tour
The Strawberries and the Nemi’s Lake – A lovely trail on the border of the Nemi’s Lake, embellished with two pearls as the Capuchin monasteries and Palazzolo, wrapped up in the “Nemus Aricinum.” So it was called the old wood consecrated to Diana characterized by oaks, lindens, and maples that once stretched in this area of the Castelli Romani. Our route starts from Genzano and following the old roman path we arrive at the Sacred Grove adjacent to the seventeenth-century Capuchin monastery, which houses a crib Bernini of rare beauty. Along a route of great natural interest, we reach the convent of Santa Maria Palazzolo, built in the twelfth century on the ruins of a Roman villa, and from the viewpoint below we can enjoy the beautiful panorama that stretches below the Lake and the west coast.
We arrive in the gracious garden for a barbecue and tasting of sweet and wild strawberries on the farm on the shores of Lake and to admire Diana‘s Temple and know the amazing story of this important goddess
Includes 3 hours horseback, archeological guided tour, barbeque, Typical tastings
