Wine tasting in Tuscia – Following the Teverina Wine Route, we’ll immerse ourselves in the wine-making art by visiting the extraordinary Wine Museum of Castiglione in Teverina and two wineries.
The private tour departs from your hotel in Rome at 8,30 a.m; after about 1,15 hrs., we’ll reach Castiglione in Teverina. We’ll start our wine experience by visiting the extraordinary MUVIS, the Wine, Agricultural, and Food Sciences Museum. MUVIS is housed in a cellar used by Count Romolo Vaselli for its wine production since 1942. The brand Vaselli known at the national and international level for its red wines, sparkling wines, and vermouth, closed up in 1994. The success of this winery led to a revival of local production, renewing the glories of the Etruscan and the Roman tradition. The museum collects testimonies and finds of the agricultural tradition of the Teverina Wine Route and represents a hub for developing projects that strengthen Castiglione’s identity. After, we’ll move to a bio winery, where, after visiting the vineyard, we’ll have lunch with wine tasting. In the afternoon, we’ll reach the nearby Civitella D’Agliano, to visit a fascinating 16th-century wine cellar where we’ll be delighted to taste the winery production. At about 6,00 p.m. we’ll depart for your hotel in Rome. We’ll reach it at about 7,30 p.m.
